One NC Small Business Program Review Process:
The One NC Small Business Program proposal review process consists of five stages (see Figure below). In Stage 1, the NC Board of Science and Technology (NCBST) Grant Administrator reviews applications to ensure that they are complete, meet the eligibility criteria, and address a priority area. In Stage 2, the NCBST Executive Director examines applications with the same criteria. In stage 3, assuming the application is approved for an award, the NCBST prepares a Grant Agreement Package and sends it to the company. In stage 4, the company completes the Grant Agreement Package and returns it to the NCBST. In stage 5, assuming the Grant Agreement Package is complete and in compliance, grant funds are disbursed to the company.
