The 2010 solicitation is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) through the N.C. Energy Office. Federal as well as state guidelines apply to awards made under this solicitation.

History and Purpose:
Established in the 2007 Legislative Session, the North Carolina Green Business Fund (NCGBF) awards competitive grants to North Carolina organizations with innovative projects focused on three priority areas:
- Development and commercialization of the biofuels industry
- Development and commercialization of the green building industry, and
- Attraction and leverage of private sector investments and entrepreneurial growth in environmentally conscious clean technology and renewable energy products and businesses.
Applicants MUST read the solicitation
carefully for eligibility requirements, as eligibility may be limited to a subset of entities, and significant changes have been made from previous years' solicitations.
All applicants are required to complete a short (750 words or less) pre-proposal, which will be screened for eligibility. Eligible applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal for review. For additional details, including instructions on how to apply, please read the
